Mission:

KangaKare Childcare, Rochestown, Cork is a purpose-built childcare facility where the needs and interests of children come first.

It is designed to provide a healthy environment which opened its doors in October 2002. It is s a childcare service based on very solid foundations with a strong belief and commitment to child centred practice that take precedence over everything we do. Our centre is led by a qualified and experienced Manager who guides a team of qualified, committed, and caring individuals who offer high levels of care and stimulus for each individual child.

Our aim is to continue to improve our happy, safe, and stimulating learning environment where your child is supported during play and education, where he/she is welcomed, valued, respected, and encouraged to reach his/her individual potential socially, emotionally, physically and academically. Choosing the right day care for your child is an important decision for any parent. At Kangakare Childcare we understand exactly how important it is for both parents and children. We offer quality and peace of mind to you and your child in convenient locations.

As well as providing full day and part day care for children aged 6 months to 12 years, we also provide school collection service and an out of school club for children aged 5 years upwards.

We have a large outdoor play area, with playground equipment and a safety surface.

We respect the parent as the main educator and care giver and support parents in offering continuity and consistency of care to their families.

Meet The Team at KangaKare Cork

Rebecca

Educator

Rebecca was awarded her BA in Early Years Education back in 2015. Once Qualified Rebecca started her career with us here in Kangakare.

Rebecca began working in the Toddler room and after 2 years of experience moved to the pre-school room.  Rebecca has seen many families come through the creche and enjoys meeting the younger siblings. She loves teaching the pre-school age as they love to learn and engage in new activities.

Nuria

Educator

Nuria was awarded her BA in Primary Education back in 2018. 

Nuria joined us from Madrid, Spain in 2021 and has been working with the Toddler age group since she started. Nuria is a very energetic & active and enjoys cycling to and from work daily.  She likes to guide and teach the children new life skills and loves to see them becoming more independent each day.  

Emma

Educator

Emma has a QQI level 6 and has worked with Kangakare for three years.

Emma is caring, positive and an optimistic person. Emma loves to come up with new and interesting sensory activities for the children to explore and isn’t afraid to get dirty in the process. She is always patient, kind and attentive to the children and their needs.

Michelle

Educator

Michelle has 15 years’ experience in childcare and has been with Kangakare since 2017.

Michelle is compassionate, caring and creative. Michelle has a passion for capturing that ‘AWE’ moment and loves to see the children pass huge milestones while in her care. The children have a great bond and sense attachment with her.

You will often find children from older rooms back visiting the baby room to see Michelle!

Bridget

Educator

Bridget has twenty-two years’ experience and has been with Kangakare for the last fifteen years.

Bridget has worked in many rooms while in Kangakare. She began in the baby room and then gained experience from the toddler room; she has spent the last number of years enjoying the preschool room. The children have a great love for Bridget and refer to her as ‘the tall teacher’.
